The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of teachers and parents about the factors that affecting the attendance of Roma students in Primary School and determine school success or school failure. The research data was collected through oral interviews, and specifically with semi-structured interviews. The participants were six teachers of a primary school in Acharnes and eight parents of students that attend this school. Qualitative methodology was used to conduct the results, while the data obtained from the interviews was processed with the thematic analysis. The results of the research showed that school success or school failure is mainly due to social, family and economic factors. The family, the teachers and the institutional racism determine the school route of Roma students. The pandemic period made their access to education even more difficult.
