The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the way that the concept of women empowerment is approached, through one of the actions of the “WOMENTORS” multifaceted young women’ empowerment project, implemented by Lambrakis Foundation. The questions that arise, concern the characteristics that compose the profile of the empowered woman, the factors related to women’s empowerment, as well as the way the gender barriers on the women’s path are interpreted. The conclusions on the abovementioned questions are drawn through a content analysis of twenty-two videos developed in terms of the Project, where personal narratives of women selected as positive female role models by its representatives, are presented, aiming to inspire young women and contribute to their empowerment.
